Saunders & Pitt Independent Property Valuers & Consultants commenced operations on 1 November 1997. The firm was initially established as a partnership between D. Saunders (Valuations) Pty Ltd & A Pitt & Co. Pty Ltd. David Saunders was previously the proprietor of D. Saunders & Co., an independent and well regarded property valuation business which commenced operations in Hobart in 1905. Saunders & Pitt has built on this fourth generation business foundation.
In 1998 the firm appointed Russell Cripps to further expand the practise and in 2004 became a principal of the firm, together with David Saunders and Andrew Pitt. David Saunders subsequently stepped down as a Principal and then retired in 2012.
On 1 July 2014 both Bill Parsons and Joe Stansfield became partners of the firm, joining Andrew Pitt and Russell Cripps.
Saunders & Pitt is now a partnership between A Pitt & Co. Pty Ltd, Bernac Pty Ltd, J Stansfield Pty Ltd and Bill Parsons Pty Ltd.
Saunders & Pitt has responded to present day demands for a multiple property valuer operation with the ability to undertake large scale property valuation and property consultancy assignments, not only for major financiers who require prompt turn-around times and reliability in peak periods, but also a personalised service to a range of regular and first time clients.
The firm also expanded to the North of Tasmania with an office opening in Devonport on February 16, 2015, and Launceston in September 2016. The northern offices are staffed by ClydeEastaugh, Joe Stansfield and Josh Perry.
The experience and reliability of Saunders & Pitt can best be judged by the track record of the valuers on staff. Andrew Pitt, prior to commencing the partnership, was a senior property valuer with Knight Frank, Tasmania. In this role Andrew gained some 10 years experience in all facets of property valuation and consultancy. This experience and knowledge now spans over 25 years.
Russell Cripps is a Tasmanian based valuer who came to Saunders & Pitt with 17 years experience, having previously been employed by the major pastoral and real estate firm Roberts Limited, and in this role was responsible for property valuations, commercial sales and leasing activities.
Joe Stansfield was employed by Saunders & Pitt as a trainee valuer in 2010. He qualified with a Batchelor of Property with Distinction and in December 2010 was accepted as a Certified Practising Valuer by the Australian Property Institute. Since commencing his employment Joe has gained considerable knowledge and experience in residential, commercial and industrial property valuations. He undertakes valuation statewide having grown up on King Island before completing college in Launceston and undertaking a valuation cadetship between Burnie, Launceston and Hobart.
Clyde brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to assist in the growth of the business within northern Tasmania. He is a Life Fellow of the Australian Property Institute and has provide independent advice and services to clients over a long and distinguished career.
