Bill Parsons

Bill has a diverse range of experience complementary to valuation. Early in his career he managed a large family owned grazing property run in partnership with another family farm. Following his farming career he became a qualified accountant that has proven to be a valuable background to being a valuer.

Bill graduated with a Commerce degree in 1998 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2000. He started his career in valuing in 2008 and during his traineeship assisted in a wide range of rural and commercial property valuations throughout the state. Since becoming a Certified Practising Valuer in 2010 Bill has continued to undertake valuations of rural and commercial property along with residential property. Bill’s background as a farmer and accountant assist in undertaking rural and commercial property valuations of varying complexities. As a qualified accountant Bill has an understanding of business structures used by property holding entities and the ability to analyse financial statements. Both enable Bill to undertake a wide variety of valuations for  various purposes including financial reporting for Self Managed Superannuation Funds and Capital Gains Tax valuations through to going concern valuations where a business and property are dependent upon each other.

Through his rural background he is able to assist in all forms of rural valuations from traditional grazing properties through to the comparatively newer horticulture, aquaculture and viticulture businesses. In the commercial property field he has the experience and knowledge to value all types of commercial property from small to large. Whilst the firm is more orientated towards commercial and rural valuations Bill also assists with valuing residential property for our clients for a number of purposes including pre-purchase, market, first mortgage security, estate, and matrimonial purposes.
